A Mad Week…
My always busy schedule is filled to the brim this week… on Twitter I referred to a ‘mad week ahead’… went a step further and apologized in late email replies as having a ‘hell week’… Sometimes a filled calendar looks good on ‘paper’ but the actual process of dragging your body through it is hell… Practice, preparation, rehearsals, travel, waiting time, irregular meals, lack of sleep… yesterday was a 20-hour day! Today will be similar…
But guess what – I’m loving it. Because the culmination of all this madness is spending a couple of hours on stage performing around Denmark with drummer Hans Fagt, bassist Dan Rasmussen, guitarist Troels Skovgaard, and the amazing Delmar Brown on keyboards – he’s played with Sting, Mike Stern, Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis, Gil Evans and countless others – and flew in from New York to help me out in a pinch. Spending time with these musicians on stage and off reminds me of why I do what I do, and why I do what I have to do to make it happen.
The 5 of us are kickin’ musical butt all week around Denmark: last night in Copenhagen wih vocalist James Sampson, tonight in Fredericia at Det Bruunske Pakhus, Friday in Slagelse at Badeanstalten, and Saturday at Copenhagen Jazzhouse with special guest vocalist Al Campos.
Those of you in the area, come out and support us – you won’t be disappointed!
Thanks,
B

Hi Bobby,
I wish you were playing in the Boston area as I would definitely attend your concert. I loved to see you in Lowell at Tobocca’s Steakhouse with Stanley Swann.
Please let me know if you come to Boston again as I love your music.
